A selection of exterior shots of our modern farm house project in North Hertfordshire. Taking full advantage of the spectacular views, the building has been broken down into a main house and three separate outbuildings. Each portion has been detailed differently and use recognisable, simple materials that draw on the local residential and agricultural vernacular allowing it to embed itself carefully into the landscape. Over the next week or so we will be posting more photographs of the interior of the project and smaller details so keep your eyes peeled!

Our full house refurbishment in Stapleford is almost finished, with the new entryway looking smashing! The staircase has been produced by Offord & Camp and @bandpjoinery, its a beautiful piece of work. More photos to follow when the exterior of the house has been completed!

We are very excited to have gained planning permission for a very low energy house, honey room and workshop for a beekeeper, set in a permaculture environment on the North Norfolk coast.
The proposal will be micro piled ensuring minimal contact with the ground and impact on the landscape with no concrete being used within the build.
A lightweight superstructure formed using Larsen Trusses will be clad in reclaimed timber, whilst allowing for a continuous 350mm envelope of insulation to wrap around the whole building including the walls, floor and roof.
The roof will have deep overhanging eaves, providing shade and minimising any excessive solar heat gain. The rainwater from the zinc shingle-clad roof will be collected in an underground tank providing the integrated greenhouse and the rest of the garden with water. The Southern side of the roof will be clad in PV panels, generating power for the Air Source Heat pump that will heat the house.
