Progress on site: The steel frame is up for our project in Bedfordshire working with @boxanddefeoltd and @carstructures. This new home sits within a context of varying architectural styles. The design seeks to complement the local character, whilst clearly remaining contemporary in its articulation. We look forward to seeing the project progress. . . . . #newbuild #newhome #architects #architecture #structure #construction #onsite #constructionprogress #site #riba #house #framing #structuralframe
The family bathroom at our Edwardian Home project has been revitalised through thoughtful selection of furniture, fittings and details. The centrepiece of the space is the transformed mid-century console that has been been turned into a stylish vanity unit. This is a great example of how existing pieces of furniture can be creatively repurposed and given a new life.
The finishes and fittings have been carefully chosen featuring blue and white tiles from @bertandmaychelsea, the feature freestanding bath from @cphartbathrooms and paint colours from @farrowandball. . . . . #bathroom #bathroominterior #interior #architecture #interiordesign #furniture #mid-century #remodel #tiling #decoration #decor #dezeen #riba #joinery #architects #architecture
Continuing the spotlight on our recent Edwardian family home project, this series of photographs highlight the connection between the kitchen and dining spaces with the beautiful rear garden.
Situated deep within the open-plan layout, the kitchen is flooded with natural light from a new traditional lean-to glazed roof. The rich green cabinetry adds a splash of colour and a playful touch to the traditional Shaker-style kitchen, while remaining sympathetic to the character of the Edwardian home. The result feels both timeless and personal.
The central island, complete with an integrated cookbook shelf, adds both practicality and character to this welcoming family space.
Our most recently photographed project features a remodelled Edwardian property that’s been transformed into a functional and practical family home. We were involved in the full refurbishment of the property, working closely with the clients on the design of each room, including the selection of materials, finishes, colours and fittings.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting more about this project and the intentions behind the details.
The project is now available to view on our website. A link can be found in the bio.
We’re pleased to announce the promotion of Ross Langtree to Associate.
Ross has made a significant contribution to the practice through his work on a range of low-energy, new-build homes, bringing enthusiasm, technical skill and a thoughtful approach to every project.
His passion for sustainable architecture and natural materials aligns closely with our values, and we look forward to his continued contribution as Associate.
Designed with @buhrbespokeinteriors , this kitchen and dining space draws on the language of Japanese joinery to bring together teak shelving, cast concrete, fluted glass and an American Black Walnut dining table. Connections are expressed rather than hidden, materials chosen for how they age and feel. For more information and images of this new interior project check out the new page on the website! .
